The Haven is worth the upgrade! The rooms are beautiful and the entire area is amazing. Attentive service, quiet place to get away, and just plain beautiful. Our Butler was fantastic and went out of his way to meet our every need. Embarkation can be tricky if you won an upgrade to the Haven because they may not have your name on the "list" to check in so make sure you bring your boarding pass with you. The only downside to The Haven (at least the rooms located on the ships Forward) is that it is completely away from all the "action" on the ship so don't choose this option if you are looking to enjoy the nightlife or poolside games and such - it's a long walk from one end of the boat to the other! There is a ton of things to do for all ages - we traveled with a teenager and she found a variety of things to do to pass the time. However, there are not a lot of kids here age traveling at this time of the year so that is something to consider. The ship is beautiful and Norwegian has thought of everything! The only negative here is that although there are two main pools (one for families and one for adults) they are both very small and there are limited lounge chairs. We did like the casual cruise atmosphere and not having to be at dinner at a specific time or in a specific outfit. If you are not a Pepsi fan - this ship is not for you! The food was fantastic and much better than some of the other cruise lines that we have been on - waits were not long and the specialty restaurants are worth the price (be careful - little things can add up quickly and you can actually end up spending more than you planned). Keep in mind that you are charged taxes and gratuities while you are in certain ports (like having lunch before disembarkation from Miami). Our itinerary was changed after Hurricane Irma but the ports of call were still nice. I was a little disappointed in the Belize port - this is the NCL private island. Things were more expensive than I had anticipated but we were reassured that it was helping the local economy.

Cabin Review

The Haven Owner's Suite with Large Balcony
Cabin H3 18700
Absolutely stunning. I have no idea how they fit so many luxeries in such a tight space. Walk in closet. Dressing area. 1 full bath with tub and shower (and even bath salts) and another half bath. Plenty of storage. Perfect for 2 couples traveling together or as in our case, one couple with a teenager!
