We wanted a taste of many countries which this gave us. Because Viking air changed my name on my ticket and were very reluctant to fix things I did not have a reservation matching my passport until the day before departure ! It was an extremely stressful start to the trip.

Once on board the staff were lovely. We missed one port because of high seas. We were sorry to miss it but the staff did everything they could to make the day pleasant. Rolling seas and seasickness thru out the ship did not stop our every comfort being attended too. Historian Michael Fopp even spoke on a rolling stage at the height of the storm .

We especially enjoyed some of the speakers who addressed the history of the areas we were visiting. Only one speaker did not seem to have a good grasp on his material but he was quite theatrical .
