We chose this cruise for our 25th Anniversary because of the departure port and ports of call - it was always a dream of ours to explore the Western Mediterranean. Being a loyal Royal Caribbean cruiser (this was our 15th cruise) we have been on the smallest and biggest ships. While we typically prefer the bigger ships when traveling with our family, the Rhapsody of the Seas was a very enjoyable ship for just the two of us on this cruise.

We arrived in Venice, Italy two days prior to cruising to get adjusted to the time difference and to explore this wonderful city. We stayed at the Westin Europa & Regina Hotel which is right on the Grand Canal and just a few minutes walk to St Mark's Square.

After two days in Venice, we took a Water Taxi to the port (80 Euros). Once at the port, embarking was extremely easy and we were on the ship within 10 minutes of our arrival to the port.

We booked Owner's Suite #8502 and it was perfect in every way! Plenty of room, outstanding balcony and big bathroom. Our stateroom attendant was very attentive and provided outstanding service. The Concierge was very attentive and provided some outstanding guidance for our cruise vacation.
