We decided to try a different river cruise line. We had experienced Uniworld a few years ago. The food and selections were very good. The daily choices were very good. The trip to the D Day landing was a disappointment as far the time allotted to appreciated and experience the area. They provided a meal while we were at Normandy that took up too much of our time. The group that we were with all agreed. This was one of the highlights of this cruise. We also found that there was a lot of bus touring with driving time taking up a lot of time.
The deluxe cabin was the perfect size. the full sized balcony was also nice. The servicing of the room and the butler service was terrific. The ports of call were good except the long rides some days. Embarkation and disembarkation was very organized and seamless. The entertainment was ok but we made our own entertainment with our group.
The waiters were very good and made some great recommendations. They had a good selection of wine and liquor. The daily drink specials also very good.
The cabin was perfect size. The service was very good. Refill of supplies timely. Views while sailing excellent. When we were docked sometimes we were rafted to another ship with no view. We have been on other river cruise's and understand why. It's the luck of the draw where we docked.
