This cruise was the first vacation that my sister and I have ever taken together just the two of us; we were celebrating my upcoming 50th birthday. I was very anxious watching the weather as we prepared for our trip and was worried it would be canceled or disastrous and despite the proximity to Hurricane Jose and Maria behind we had a great trip. The crew was accommodating and friendly. We had plenty to eat and drink with our meal and drink plan and there were varied restaurants allowing for variety. My favorite events on the ship were two wine tastings we attended (only $20 each), the black glass tasting and the wine and chocolate tasting; although I have to say the ariel acrobatic show was AMAZING. My sister and her girls actually do trapeze and have been to Cirque tons of times and expected to be less than impressed but we were very pleasantly surprised at how FANTASTIC that couple (I forget their names, I'm sorry) were - like WOW! Depsite the weather we did make it to Bermuda and made the most of it even though our scuba dive got canceled (which we understood completely; I had gotten scuba certified specifically for this trip with my sister but safety is more important), we had a blast. We made it to Horseshoe Beach before it was closed due to the storm. I particularly enjoyed the Swizzle Inn, yes, we then swaggered across the street to the Crystal Caves which were pretty cool. The final day in port we took a taxi to Hamilton and shopped (in our handy rain ponchos we purchased after getting soaked!) I wish the weather had been more cooperative but we appreciated the Captain's communications and trusted that we would be safe and we were. Our room had a balcony which I was SO happy we chose, we really enjoyed sitting out there with our morning coffee and reading later in the day..We had a fantastic time; thanks to all!
The cabin was plenty for us, nice and clean and we were so thrilled to have the balcony, especially with the challenging weather. The nightly towel creatures were fun and creative.
