We cancelled an Oceania cruise with similar ports to cruise with Princess and two other couples. We are all retired and selected a non-peak date and took our chance with the weather. It was first cruise with Princess. The port selections were wonderful. Due to bad weather we skipped channel islands but picked it up again on the back end due to La Harve being cancelled. We were disappointed that we were unable to visit Paris on our excursion. There were a lot of people upset however we understood that Princess had no control over a dock strike. The only issue was they gave little information. The announcement was that the port was cancelled due to an scheduled port strike. Seems like they would have known that earlier and could have adjusted time in other ports. Did not like additional sea days. The tinder in Guernsey was difficult. Rough weather caused many to get sick. We spent two days in Dublin which was one too many. Belfast and all of northern Ireland was wonderful. Took the Game of Thrones excursion and had a great day. Don't miss Giants Causeway and the rope bridge. Edinburgh was our favorite. Tinder and slow transport to downtown caused us to have little time. Would have preferred two days in Edinburgh. We plan to go back and spend a week in Scotland.

The quality of the food a great disappointment. There was plenty of choice but little quality. Minimal seasoning on dishes. We did enjoy one night in the dining room (escargot, lobster and prawns). The Crown Grill (extra $29 pp) was worth the additional fee. Top quality steak compared to regular dining which was always tough.

Service and staff were the best. Always a smile and kind word. Our steward Lizzel was wonderful.

Adequate room particularly since we didn't spend that much time in our room. However the bathroom was a disappointment. Small shower. Minimal room to move around. Balcony was great because we lucked out on the weather. TV programming was slanted to USA customers which was appreciated. Was able to watch college football even though we had to stay up late. Movie channels were also good.
