As a first time cruiser, all I could say is Never again. I will start with the cabin, I heard they were small, but no one said they were that tiny, dark, and dingy. Lights didn't work properly. The sheets had no cotton remaining on them, seriously grey in color. Dirty Carpet! The first steward to address us in our cabin was overly rude. He mentioned to keep the balcony door shut at all times OR the air conditioner would not work properly! I thought that was a little strange, wound up, doing just that, and opened the door, and there was no problem with the air conditioner.. (First red flag)! He complained every time I opened the entry door, that He would get sick from the draft it created! Yelled directly at me and slammed his bunch of cleaning products down. I got to a point I didn't let him in the room the rest of the trip. Second issue... Toilets Never flushed! A good 60 percent of the day, no flushing toilets! Not just in the room, but every toilet took turns.hours at a time. This IS unacceptable! Every time we needed towels we had to beg for them, and bathroom tissue paper! That steward was as rude as they come. To complain about the toilets not flushing, was the same excuse daily! Room service brought in a breakfast tray, and the steward would not remove it when we put it outside the door. #3... Smoking everywhere! That was pretty disgusting, especially people sneaking smoking on the balcony... #4 I never knew how many people were on this ship.. to my understanding including staff it was 5000! Seriously, the ship cannot handle all the needs of paying guests! The pools were not equipped with proper entry, only a steep ladder scaling the wall of the small overcrowded pool! It was a horrible experience, with people holding lounge chairs and no one was in them. The pool area was like sardines in a can! The docking day was a frenzy at the beach, so I skipped that too. Tried the beach the next day, hurricane Harvey put a damper on that too. By then, I was pretty much hot exhausted, from sleepless nights, with loud banging music playing in the distance every night till the wee hours... shoulder was hurting from pressing the button to flush the toilette. I just wanted to go home to the peace. The food was the only part of the trip I enjoyed. Leaving the ship was a total disaster, of three hours packed in a waiting room, with screaming children, and noise! To sum it up, Cruising is for 16 year olds who want to be 20, and 40 year olds that think they are 20, gamblers, and alcoholic's make up the other percent. . The rest of the people are just lost in the crowd. Like I said before. Never again! A pretty bad costly experience.
