We chose this cruise mainly to see Normandy France which was our last port.

Our first port to Gernsey was cancelled due to weather. Dublin was a two day stay. We did the Hop On Hop Off bus the first day. The second we did an excursion to Blarney castle which we booked when we got off the ship for half what Princess was charging. Blarney castle was amazing. We did stand in line for 30 minutes or so to start the climb up the narrow circular stairrway to the top. The climb is slow going and very narrow and slightly claustrophobic. The view from the top was gorgeous. Kissing the Blarney stone is not for anyone with back or neck issues as you have to lie down and tilt your head upside down to kiss the stone! At Belfast we had privately booked a Game of Thrones tour with seven of our friends through Viatour. We waited for the bus for 30 minutes before finding out it left a half hour early! We went to Irish Tours to sort it out and were told we were sent an email the day before telling us the bus would leave a half hour earlier! Of course none of us had email on the ship. They should have realized this and had the driver wait especially if seven people were missing! We ended up hiring a van to take us to the same places. Of course now we had paid for two tours! The driver was amazing, took us to The Giants Causeway (not to be missed!) We also went to Dunluce Castle on the coast which was gorgeous!

Our next port was Glasgow according to our itinerary but it was Greenock which is 45 minutes from Glasgow. The ship did not provide a shuttle and we had to pay to get to Glasgow to get our HopOn bus. I feel Princess should not list Glasgow as a port because it's not. This also happened in Edinburgh. We took Hop On buses in each city and that was the best way to see all the sights.Make sure you know before hand that Scotland uses the English Pound and not Euros. We didn't bring enough pounds and had to use an ATM. We brought way too many Euros. Invergordon was our next port. Very small town. We just walked around.
