This wa an anniversary cruise. I chose it because Hawaii was a destination I've always wanted to visit, and this was a journey cruise. I was not disappointed. Embarkation was very smooth. Because of my Loyalty Status, I was able to jump lines, but it still seemed to go pretty quickly. Debarkation was smooth. We had an excursion to the USS Missouri, so we were among the first off the ship. Our cabin was ready when we got there. The steward greeted us and asked our preferences. They were all honored. The ship is fairly old. The balcony, bathroom and a closet door was tricky, but not enough of an annoyance to complain. 5 sea days, always something, or nothing to do. We did not go to any shows...just seemed to be doing something else. Most are the same. We don't do the comedy shows..a little too raw for us. Food was great; throw back sea day with 80s theme deck party. Old school Midnight Buffet. Old school captains reception with complimentary food and drinks...loved this cruise. Crew was wonderful, ship was beautiful, food delicious. All 4 of our excursions were through Carnival, and they were all great. The tour guides were knowledgeable, fun and engaging. Enough "potty breaks'. Not really an option to get food, and unlike the Caribbean cruises, there weren't any stops for souvenairs, other than in the places we stopped for excursions, which on these, were purchasing products, and not souvenirs. The actual ports were working import/export ports, so you had to get away to shop or discover.this was at all 5 Hawaiian ports. We would definately do,this one again. This was a repositioning cruise for the Legend...I would love to have done a B2B2B...Alaska to Vancouver to Hawaii to Australia!
Older ship. Location was great. Temperature could be regulated to need. Everything was in good repair. Balcony, bathroom, closet doors were tricky, but workable.
