Friends went on this cruise last year and had a good time so decided to go again this year and I tagged along. We were all disappointed.

My first negative was immediately upon entering my cabin. There were no towels or drinking glasses. I opened up a cabinet and there was a pair of men's slippers. At 5:30 I asked for towels. When I got back into the room at 11:30 I still did not have towels or a drinking glass.

My room steward would be knocking on my door late in the afternoon when I was in and getting ready to go out. On all other cruises I never had interaction with the steward unless I wanted him there. One night I told her I was going out for dinner at 9:00 and she could come back then and give me clean towels. She said "oh no, too late." My drinking glass was rarely replaced. Once I brought a glass of lemonade down and the cup was still there after she cleaned the next morning. I finally freaked one day and called housekeeping and told them they better get there immediately with a clean glass and take away the skanky dirty glass.

Cabin Review

Studio Stateroom

Cabin T1

I opted for the Studio and it was fine. It really wasn't the bargain I thought it might be because as we got closer to the cruise I clicked and saw that I could have gotten an inside for a solo for about $300 less. But whatever. The cabin was fine for one person.

Of course I complained about the steward, but my other complaint is about the t.v. Only news stations? Really? I'm on vacation. How about a little TBS or NBC while I'm getting ready to go out. Other cruise lines have the same satellite and can get NBC and CBS.

Port Reviews

King's Wharf

Just went to Horseshoe Bay, which was wonderful. We lucked out because it turned out to be a sunny day. The second day a few of us stayed close to the ship, did some shopping in port and hung out at Vibe for the afternoon. Our cruise was cut short and we had to depart a day early at 5:30.
