I had always wanted to do the New England/Canada cruise, so two friends and I booked it. When arriving at Cape Liberty for departure, we were held up looking for a porter for our luggage, but the rest of the entry procedure went quickly, with numerous pleasant staff members to help us. I arrived via wheelchair and was brought to the restaurant for lunch; the crew member who pushed my chair was very friendly, and explained the procedure for meals, leaving me in a comfortable chair to have my lunch. Two of us were waiting for the third member of our party to board, but, u known to us, her passport had just expired, something none of us had noticed, as we booked the cruise in May, and gave all passport information to the booking agent, who should have been observant to the fact that the passport would expire prior to the cruise. Oh, well, it was a matter of having someone email a copy of her birth certificate to the desk agent, and, after a few hours, this was resolved. Our cabin was beautiful, clean and neat, but, when my friend went to bed on the sofa bed, she was very uncomfortable, even after our wonderful cabin steward tried to soften the hole between the levels with padded duvet covers. This sofa bed was so uncomfortable that, after three nights of back pain and lack of sleep, my friend was forced to get another cabin, alone, to get any sleep. There were many activities available on the ship, but the sheer size of the ship made it very hard to travel from place to place...crowds of people were everywhere, and, since I use a walker, it was hard to get from the dining room, aft, to the theater in the stern, plus the sheer distance was exhausting.. The shows were great, dining staff excellent.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin E1

Our cabin seemed spacious, until the sofa bed was opened, then we could not get to our lovely balcony. Since my friend needed such a large amount of padding to sleep on the sofa bed, it had to remain open all day and all night, so none of us cvould get to enjoy the balcony we had paid extra for. After my friend was forced to move to another cabin, the sofa bed was closed up, and the remaining two of us could enjoy the luxury of a large cabin and balcony.
