We have cruised with Thomson before, last year on the Discovery 1, we chose Discovery 2 because the itinerys were what we were looking for. We like the all inclusive element with Thomson, not that we are big drinkers but it's good to know there is no bill at the end. We were in cabin 6010 which is a balcony cabin. Not a deluxe cabin but plenty of room. Plenty of wardrobe space with shelving in the wardrobe and a 3 draw cabinet. It was great having a balcony and we will always go for a balcony cabin in future.
No issues with sun beds even on days at sea. Staff as always were fantastic always with a smile and nothing to much trouble. Food was better than Discovery 1, always a good selection and importantly the food was hot. I am a veggie and don't like pasta so frequently struggle with food but no issues at all.
The entertainment was excellent and to a high standard.
Cabin Review
Cabin big enough, plenty of wardrobe space. Tea and coffee making facilities. Bed comfortable. Bathroom small but adequate except for the dreaded shower curtain but not a big issue.
Great having a balcony.
Cabin staff brilliant.
Clean.
