We chose this cruise as we wanted to revisit Labadee and Jamaica as we did on our first RCC cruise in 1998. Also, Port Canaveral is only about a hour drive for us, so very convenient. Upon arrival for embarkation, they were ready to give my wife the wheel chair assistance we requested and the attendant was extremely attentive to my wife. We zipped through check-in, being Crown Plat also helped to expedite the procedure. She was wheeled on board, and we proceeded to our sea view cabin on deck 11, mid ship. Long walk to either elevator. Debarkation was a snap for us. With wife being in wheel chair, and with luggage for us and our daughters (another cabin) being wheeled out by a porter, zipped through customs. Our cabin was comfortable, although a bit small for an outside. Shower was the best ever had. Sufficient storage for clothing. We dined when we wanted to as, by the time we made the reservations, first seating was already sold out. As it turned out, this worked to our favor. Gave us the opportunity to meet other guests and be exposed to other wait staff. Excellent entertainment. Cats was fantastic, and I say this as a semi professional musician. All the performances by the ship's singers and dancers were a pure 5. Due to the massive amount of guests, 5000 or so, getting in to see the comedy shows were impossible, unless you wanted to wait in line for long period of time. Water show was entertaining, but nothing to write home about. The Las Vegas Tenors provided an excellent, entertaining show.

Our first stop, Labadee, was a disappointment from the previous time there. The place was built up and lost it's tropical appeal. The swimming areas had sharp rocks on the bottom and navigating them took the pleasure out of being there. Due to the massive amount of guests there, finding a place to either sit or swing also was a negative.

Jamaica, Dunn River Falls, was also a disappointment. Our first time, the ship moored at Ocho Rios and we were tendered in. As a result, we climbed the falls from the bottom. This time, again due to the number of people, the ship moored in Failmouth, and we were bused to the falls. Once there, we started from almost half way up the falls. Instead of a leisurely climb up, we were constantly on the move with a big crowd in front and one behind. Took the enjoyment out of it. Would consider it again, but on a smaller ship and not an Oasis class. The lunch was excellent as was the tubing that followed.

Cabin Review

Superior Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin D2

The cabin was well furnished and comfortable, but small for the price and location.

Port Reviews

Labadee

Overcrowded. Too over improved and hurt the tropical look it once had. Too many rocks in the water which made wading a risk of getting your feet cut.

Cozumel

daughter went scub diving and felt it was too expensive for what was given.
