Sail Date: Sep 2017

We choose this cruise as the embarkation from Dundee was ideally situated. Being new to cruising we thought this cruise to the Norwegian fjords would be a good starter cruise.

The cruise itself was okay, apart from the choppy water in the north sea!

The food onboard was excellent we ate in the Waldorf restaurant most of the time, 5 course options for Lunch and Dinner. Great selection on offer, we had the early sitting for Dinner and we did feel hurried between courses at times. Waiters were keen to get you out of restaurant so they could prepare for the next guests eating at the late sitting. we ate in the Raffles bistro a few times which was a self service buffet, again there was a good choice on offer.

Cabin Review

Cabin Standard Twin Ocean View

Our cabin was a reasonable size, plenty of storage space for clothes, and the beds were comfy. There was very little soundproofing between the cabins, we could hear the couple in the next cabin speaking and even snoring! The bathroom/shower room was small and there was usually a horrible sewer like smell emanating from the drains. On a few occasions we even had water coming up from the drain in the shower, which we did report to reception.

Port Reviews

Eidfjord

Our day here was wet and misty so not able to see much

Flam

Loved Flam railway, great views!

Bergen

We chose to see Bergen on our own, so cannot comment on the organised excursions. There is plenty to see and do, lovely place to visit.

Newcastle (England)

Trip here was very informative, Durham is great place to visit.
