We were a group of 10 and this was our first time to the Mediterranean. This cruise followed a Danube river cruise. We embarked after spending 3 nights in Venice and I would recommend at least 3 nights there - though it is expensive. We travelled as a group by water taxi to the port. This was the most economical for us as we had lots of luggage and are all seniors. Embarkation was smooth - we were on board by 11am and enjoyed lunch on the deck. Clouds rolled in near sail away time, but the rain held off just long enough to sail by Venice - something not to be missed!

We went ashore at all ports and at least took the shuttle to town. Walked the walls in Dubrovnik - worth the time. Totally enjoyed Catania stop where we went to Mount Etna and Taormina. This cruise was chosen for the itinerary.

We like the size of this ship - a little smaller than Eclipse etc. Though it is older, the recent renovations are good. Seem to be many coats of paint on the balconies etc. But Connie is still in good shape. I really wish Celebrity would add a piano bar. Maybe get rid of Cellar Masters - there never seems to be anyone there. Or Sushi on 5. We did appreciate that there seemed to be less push to up sell this year - i.e. specialty dining, spa etc. And I would like to see the cost of internet come down and be faster. It is a part of everyone’s lives now - perhaps unfortunately. Overall a great trip!

Cabin Review

Concierge Class 1

Cabin C1

Identical to other cabins we have been on on other ships. Shower is dated and should get shower doors rather than the curtain. Lots of storage with both drawers and hanging space. We always take a rope to hang laundry and were able to find a spot to do this. Room was well looked after by our room steward.
