We live an hour outside Boston, we have been on the dawn more times than I care to mention. It's the simplicity of going on that cruise is why we do it. But, Norwegian needs to get a different ship in Boston. We aren't going anymore until they change ships. The Dawn is tired, they tried spraying cologne on it, this past spring, but it doesn't help. My wife and I drove NY to go on the breakaway. We noticed a considerable difference in the way food is presented and handled vs. the Dawn. It's like they are feeding the hogs on the dawn and the supervisors allow it. One thing that occurred on the breakaway which had me concerned on the first day of our sept.2017 cruise was that they were using old stale bread the first two days of the cruise. When I say it was stale, hamburger buns falling apart in your hand or dinner rolls that crumbled from being stale. Be careful Norwegian! We will take our money elsewhere. We also noticed a considerable difference in the crew. The Breakaway still has conscientious employees that want to do a good job. Didn't meet any on the Dawn, they all seemed as though they wanted to be somewhere else. We had one problem while onboard the Dawn and brought the issue to the supervisor at customer service, she would gave me the typical " oh I'm sooo sorry" deal and then nothing gets fixed or changed. And she's not even good at that! Our room steward on the Breakaway couldn't do enough to please us, we tipped him well at the end of the cruise. On the Dawn, we didn't get the usual items that platinum members get, we didn't bother asking, he was never around. We found the Dawn to be the worst crew we have ever experienced in our years and years of cruising this year 2017. When we were in public areas we NEVER were asked if we d like a drink, we barely saw waiters in some areas where we had in the past. I cannot stress to you how different this crew was verse previous years, they were terrible! Norwegian needs to put another ship in Boston!!!! And while they are at it, sell the Dawn to some Podunk cruise line and sweeten the deal for the sale by offering the whole crew with it!
