Cabin: Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom with Balcony

Our first time cruising RC. Explorer is an older ship and the retrofits they have done to increase accessibility can be hit or miss--we found a lot of door buttons that didn't work and really jarring door lips and transfers for folks with wheelchairs. The buffet was not low enough for my husband, in a wheelchair, to see what food options were. The food was just average, but the excellent service of the staff made up for it some. It was a low key trip for us--just wandering around at ports--so we didn't do excursions. We also didn't do many of the shows and entertainment as they didn't appeal to us.

The cabin was good but /noisy/ with creaking, clicking, clanking noises from the ship. The bed was too firm, but some people with mobility issues might appreciate that for getting in and out of bed. Enjoyed the cruise, but wish the ship had been a little newer and accessible features better maintained.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin E1

Cabin was nice and well situated, but NOISY. Lots of creaking and clanking from the ship could be heard, especially on rough sea days. We made do, but it was very hard to sleep. Everything else was fine--bed was too hard for our tastes, but otherwise there was plenty of room for two people and a wheelchair.
