Our third cruise on Viking Star. We booked this cruise for several reasons: 1. This cruise fell on top of our 50th Wedding Anniversary. 2. We really enjoy the Viking Star and crew. 3. Ports of Call provided the opportunity to visit many different countries for the first time. 4. Strong desire to tour St. Petersburg. The ship is impressive, with its layout, beauty, comfort and unique features such as the spa with the ice grotto, hi-tech applications to the theatre shows and "high tea". The crew from top to bottom work very hard to make you feel welcome and they try to make your cruise most enjoyable. The food at all dining locations is excellent. Viking even surprised us with a special cake in celebration of our anniversary. The selection of excursions gave us the opportunity to see the local port city and to expand outwards to other small towns and points of interest. The Ultimate 2 Day St. Petersburg excursion was so well planned and guided that it became our favorite excursion of all our Viking excursions. On a scale of 1 to 10 this cruise was a 10!
