Group of 10 went on back to back cruises. Chose this cruise because of the itinerary plus the sail date worked with our cruise on another ship. Some of us were on RCL cruises a couple of years ago and noticed the decline in quality so our expectation was low on this cruise and yet the further drastic decline was absolutely shocking. In the past RCL was just as good as any other lines but in the last several years it is obvious that they have changed their business model to go low end. Now their staff is overworked and probably underpaid. A lot of them are like robots and lack the human touch and cheerfulness. We are not blaming the staff as we could see that they worked extremely hard. In fact we feel sorry for them to have to take the blunt of the complains as front line staff and it is not their fault. We could tell that they were trained well with standard answers to complains. Passengers do talk onboard and compare experiences and there are a lot of disappointed and unhappy passengers.

Embarkation:

Check-in was the best part of this cruise. It was quick and efficient.

Cabin Review

Large Ocean View Stateroom

Cabin I

Thermostat didn't work. Very cold even setting is at the warmest. Maintenance did try to fix it once but only marginally better, still need to wear down jacket to go to bed.
