We chose this cruise since we had never done the Mediterranean cruise and wanted to see the Greek Isles. We had sailed the Royal Princess previously so were familiar with the ship and its layout. It was great to see the "center" stairwell open for use. It saved us tons of steps as we mostly use the stairs instead of the elevators.

We had no problem with embarkation as we are platinum members so got through with no problem. Our cabin seemed to be "tired." The shower curtain had mildew at the bottom and the carpet seemed to need replacing or cleaning. Our steward was very nice and kept everything refreshed and clean for us. He was extremely friendly and always remembered our names when we encountered him in the hallway.

The food was just average. We ate breakfast in the Horizon and dinner in the dining room. We had anytime dining and had no problem with being seated promptly. Service seemed to be much slower than on previous cruises. We ate one night at Sabotini's and though the food was awful and menu limited. The International Cafe has the best food on the ship. We did not eat at Alfredo's this cruise.
