This was our first ever cruise and all I can say is WOW! We wanted to do something we had never done before as we were celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary and it didn't disappoint.

Embarkation went fairly smoothly as there was a dedicated check in for concierge class passengers so there wasn't really a queue. There was a bit of a hitch with our sea pass cards and we found out on board that our drinks package hadn't been added but guest services sorted it out for us very quickly. We were in cabin 9296 and it was lovely. There was plenty of room for the two of us and plenty storage space. The bathroom was well equipped and there was a little bar fixed in the wall of the shower which was a great help when shaving your legs. Our cabin attendant was Sapta, a really nice lad from the Philippines, and he attended to all our needs, which were very few. He kept the cabin spotlessly clean and turned down our bed every night.

The ship was beautiful, very tastefully furnished and every square inch was spotlessly clean. We did the "behind the scenes" tour which was really interesting and even the places which passengers don't see were spotless.

Concierge Class 2

Cabin C2

The cabin on the starboard side was roomy enough for the two of us and very tastefully furnished. We had plenty of storage and didn't have to leave much lying around. The balcony was large and we had two recliner chairs with footstools and a table. The bed was very comfortable and I actually slept better than I do at home! There were plug points at the mirror which was very handy for using hairdryer, straighteners etc. and the hairdryer was fairly good so you don't have to bring your own. The shower cubicle was roomy enough and it had a good power head on the shower. We never actually watched tv but we did switch it on in the morning to see where we were, to check our account and menus for the day etc.
