Not only was Empires of the Mediteranean a cruise to many places we had not been too before it was also on Viking. We had, and were impressed by, previous Viking River Cruises and wanted to try out their ocean offerings.

The ship was fantastic, smaller than most, and with Viking service included. The food, staff, ports of call were fantastic with a wide array of shore excursions that would suite almost anyone. They certainly suited us.

Due to the situation in Turkey the original port if embarkation was changed form Istanbul to Athens and that was unfortunate. But it also gave us confidence that Viking was there not only to provide experiences but to also make sure they would be trouble free and enjoyable

Cabin Review

Cabin DV4

The cabin was very spacious and everything worked perfectly. The bathroom was ample for a couple to easily share with upscale fittings everywhere. I might add that the Internet in our cabin was excellent and even had the capacity to access large files and videos.
