I chose this cruise because it was supposed to go to Lerwick in the Shetlands. The weather wasn't very cooperative but that isn't the ships fault. The ship had a few problems and it needed work. The furnishings were worn and needed updating. The elevators were always under repair. Despite this the Crown is one of my favorite ships. It's easy to get around and she sails well even when it's rough seas. The ship really needs to go into dry dock. The production shows were enjoyable. I just felt they had the sound turned too high and sometimes the music seemed to drown out the singers. Our cabin was in a great location on Dolphin deck halfway between the forward and mid ship elevators. We had to get maintenance in to unplug the tub drain. The sofa was worn and looked like it needed cleaning. There was never enough seating in the piazza and International Cafe areas. With bad weather for most of the cruise you couldn't go outside by the pool. They also need to update the television in the cabins.

Cabin Review

Mini-Suite with Balcony
Cabin MB D325
Cabin in great location between.forward and mid ship elevators. It could use some updating. We had to get maintenance twice. Once to fix the lock on the door and once to unplug the tub drain. The sofa was a bit worn and not too clean looking but it was clean.
