We decided to go on MSC as we were allowed to transfer our loyalty status from Celebrity over to this cruise, which made us black, their top level. Never having cruised with this line before this was a taster cruise. The ship is beautiful and the cabins are quite large. It is kept beautifully clean. Unfortunately, they have no idea how to run this ship. They need to take a leaf out of how the Americans run their ships. It was the most boring cruise we have ever been on. After 40+ cruises we are well travelled. Sailing from Southampton we assumed that there would be no more embarkation, unfortunately, this was not the case. Every port saw a large number of passengers embark and disembark, consisting of French, Dutch,German, itailian,Russian, Brazilian, and the rest of the world. Every time there was an announcement obviously it was in all those languages which went on and on! The cruise was more like a ferry trip with food to match. The sea days were so so boring, no lectures, no cinema, just a couple of dance classes. The entertainment was poor. You could watch a movie in your cabin for a fee of €7. No coffee or tea after dinner, no water on the table. The list goes on and on. Even though we got certain perks with the black status we could never be enticed back onto this cruise line. It's very true, you get what you pay for in this world. Go cheap, get cheap, never again!!!
