We selected this cruise for the destination (Bergen to Stockholm) and we selected Viking as we were travelling with relatives who had previous experiences with Viking - they said they would not cruise with any other line again after several cruises on Viking and some other lines and we now agree with them. We greatly liked the fact that the ship was not huge, holding 1000 passengers.

One of the best things Viking offers is the QuietVox, a personal listening device with headphones for each person while on tours. This enables each person on a tour to hear the guide over the headphones - no more missing what a guide said or having to rush to be next to them to hear. As someone who is hearing challenged, this helped me tremendously.

The additional talks offered by various experts throughout the cruise added greatly to our experience, it was very nice that they were on the TV in our room for times we could not attend live. The entertainment choices were varied and everything we saw was fun and well done. There were so many options of things to do that we were busy the entire time. The fact that the saunas / hot tub / cold plunge pool/ snow grotto was free to everyone on the ship was very nice as some places charge extra to use those things.

Cabin Review

Cabin Deluxe Veranda

The cabin was a nice size, there was plenty of room for the king size bed as well as chairs, desk, etc. There was plenty of storage space in the closet and shelves for clothing and luggage. The heated floors in the bathroom were a luxury that we definitely enjoyed. The veranda was nice as well. The housekeeping staff kept our room clean and well stocked with toiletries as well as items in the mini-bar. Both the climate control and the lighting were very good.
