Admiring spectacular fjords and experiencing midnight sun embarked us on this journey, and Viking Ocean Cruise - Into the Midnight Sun far exceeded our expectations.

We were (and are) very happy that we chose Viking and took the trip.

The crew met us at the airport in Bergen and escorted us to a very comfortable looking bus. We were given a bottle of water, much needed at that moment having traveled hours. Needless to say, the bus ride to the ship was smooth ensuring us of a good trip. Checking-in was thorough and efficient, and friendly. We went to our room. Our steward, greeted us friendly but discreetly. He was informative, introduced each feature of the room and his service. Bags were delivered. We unpacked. Afterward, we walked around the ship. There were lots of reading areas! An actual library too! An atrium (where daily digital showing of Munch's collection accompanied with live music took place), five (5) culinary restaurants, gym, spa, theaters, etc. Modern, yet warmly yet cooly welcoming decor and furnishing.

Cabin Review

Cabin Penthouse Veranda

We found our cabin spacious and efficiently laid out. Floor-to-ceiling balcony provided an open view. The living room section was comfortable. The closet had an ample space for both of us. What impressed us the most was the bathroom. The floor was moderately heated so it was never damp. The best with respect to cabin was our steward and his assistant. Our steward was discreet, but very informative, gave us an introduction about the room and service upon arrival, available and helpful, and the room cleaned and restocked with drinking water, the bathroom, towels, body wash, shampoo, conditioner, and body lotion, etc.
