The perfect size ship. Big enough to handle the sea but not overwhelmed with people.
The cafe was well thought out. No cumbersome trays! Take your plate to the table and the beverage of your choice appears momentarily.
The staff was unbelievably friendly and the interactions with the guests were great. As the 3-stripe boss said, you seek people with the right personality and the rest can be trained. Well done. The staff didn't look oppressed and wary like on other cruises we have taken.
The no-charge laundry was very welcome. No nickel-and-diming, which increased our pleasure on the cruise. ("Oh wait, I can't use the Internet, I'll feel guilty about spending this much money." Not,on Viking.) No,children, no casino, one night in a fancy restaurant, included tours which were way better than other cruise lines.
We had no intention of doing this when we sailed but we signed up,for, your Alaska cruise in 2019. And one of your housekeepers got a small perk for mentioning the future cruise service.
How can we cruise with anybody else after this? (Second cruise - river cruise in 2014.)
Very nice. Nothing more to ask for.
