We chose the cruise based on the Holy Land 3 day itinerary, and wanted to experience the new Viking Sky. The ship is beautifully designed, and seems only half-full because there was always room on the deck, pool and other areas. You could always get a seat at the bar, or find a quiet place to relax, read etc if you wanted to. We spent a lot of time in the Explorer's Lounge at the bar in the bow. Staterooms very comfortable and well designed, bathroom and shower very good size, The pre-excursion informational lectures were excellent and entertaining, and most of the tour guides were very good also. Staff friendly, helpful and excellent as you'd expect. Main dining room menu, food and decor were all excellent, so no need to eat in the two specialty restaurants although we did. Manfredi's was very good, but the Chef's Table had a single, fixed menu each day -- seemed very limiting and odd, but.....

Viking lived up to its reputation for Scandinavian design and a high-end cruising experience. Would recommend Viking without hesitation and would certainly try to book Viking again.

Cabin Review

Cabin D2

The stateroom was beautifully and simply decorated. Extremely well designed. Comfortable bed. Bathroom and shower very roomy. Every detail thought out. Midship but several cabins away from the elevator bank. No noise issues at all.
