My husband and I chose this 14 day cruise to celebrate our up and coming 70th birthdays and to see more of the greek island we did not get to on our previous cruise in the Med. We are a young 69' couple who enjoyed previous cruise with Celebrity, and thought we should try a different cruise company. How stupid were we? very, very stupid. The ship was quite nice but very big, and by the time we boarded we still did not know if and what cabin we had.

We booked a deluxe balcony and weeks before flying out from Australia we rang princess numerous times to find out what cabin we had and all they would say was " it was to be assigned " and only after boarding the ship and we went to guests relations were we told cabin and deck. This was the first of many complaints we have with princess. The food was the biggest let down and I can honestly say we did not have one hot dinner in the main dining room the whole cruise. The food they presented was done for a low budget and was both terrible and repetitious. The buffet food in Horizon was just dreadful, same every day and just warm. The pizza restaurant was good but only for one night. They even ran out of most of the popular wines and some cocktail mixes at the beginning of our second week, how on earth can this happen on such a big ship? and with a big company.

And then there were the terrible shows some were ok but one was just cringe worthy. They had some wonderful singers and dancers in their own troup but did not uses them enough. On one night guests were walking out of the theater it was so bad. The overall Itinary was dissapointing going to the same ports, and Mykinos was the one that most guests were wanting to go too. So many people we heard say they will never cruise with Princess again, and we have the same view after this cruise. Read more
