The ship is the largest we've sailed on (30 plus cruises). Overall, it is pleasing to the eye and despite its size, over 4000 passengers, it's easy to travel through.
Let's talk about the pluses:
Lots of things to do and they are all free, from bumper cars and ice skating to the swinging arm that lifts you high above the ship. Rock climbing was fun to watch as people attempted to reach the top of the wall.
This is where the ship showed it was not up to 5 star standards. Little things can make a big difference.
Let's discuss the positives of the cabin first:
Thre are surprisingly ample outlets including usb ports. This is critical for power strips & extension cords are confiscated upon boarding. Dont bring them along.
The tv provided decent coverage and was wall mounted in front of the bed making viewing easy. If you wanted to watch a decent movie be prepared to pay for it.
The bed was ultra comfortable and in our opinion comparable to what you find on oceania or 7 seas. we know for after sailing on oceania we purchased the identical brand bed for our home.
there is amble closet space for a 9 day cruise.
the balcony is not large but the shower is.
by one of the night stands there is a power outlet to plug a clock in
the electrical system provided perfect 60khz current. the plug in clock kept perfect time.
this is a first for us on over 30 sailings.
The items that should have been better:
toiletries in the bathroom - there were none
bathroom soap - the skimpiest bars around and you'll need to ask for several
no clothes line in the bathroom
washcolthes so thin you checked if they were see through
