Just vacationed on first time Cruise and chose RCI Liberty of the Seas 9-10 thru 9-17 2017 and it was amazing and probably in top 3 of best vacations ever! Understand I am an over planner so I knew quite a bit from all the wonderful information available on the boards of Royal Caribbean, Cruise Critic and YouTube and the overall internet is still an amazing resource. So with so many Hurricanes and the threat of the cruise being cancelled, the good news was we made it and it was amazing. First 2 days at sea was a bit of a challenge with Irma leaving a more than a few 10 Ft swells, but the good news was while many were affected, Me and my significant other managed better than we thought we would. Liberty of the Seas is Beautiful and offers so much for everyone. And probably my only complaint is I wish there was more music in the bar venues during the day, or early evening as not everyone can take the heat and sun of the beautiful pool area, but I understand. The Shows and entertainment was amazing and the In the Air show was better than I imagined. Now for the surprises, I know the Staff has a job to do and some go above and beyond their Job Description and because they do, I also know someday they will move into leadership and management roles as they absolutely stand out and embrace more than the average staff and hopefully will be recognized by Royal Caribbean as more than a job well done. First let me say that Adan Coco Reyes from Dominican Republic, I cannot sing enough praise for this young man, always helpful, always accommodating and smiling and I always looked forward to eating in the Dining Room simply to brighten my day sharing with Coco. I even ate in the Breakfast Dining room and knew he was working and ask to sit in his area as I knew I would be well taken care of. Royal Caribbean do not miss out on the leadership skills of this man. He is amazing. Second, MD Mordul Alam from India, again could not have been more accommodating or helpful and really went above and beyond on more than one occasions. And to my surprise after meeting him in Windjammer also had the pleasure of his service and smiles in the Main Dining Room. and Third was our Stateroom Attendant Liliana Cardenas Paz from Peru, who absolutely went above and beyond on cleaning and providing information and amazing towel animals and making sure we had Ice all day long for our stay. She simply went out of her way on the many of my requests and always with a smile. I have traveled quite a bit and stay in 4 and 5 star hotels who did not come close to the service and attitude of this young woman. RCI you can be very proud of the support and services of yes, these 3 but for the most part many others. I did see a few not so dedicated and it just makes these I mentioned stand out even more. Yes we will recommend RCI and look forward to cruising with you again.

Shore Excursions

We Chose the Snorkel and Tequila Tasting in Cozumel and for 2 not so fit women Fernando and Angel went above and beyond to help and make sure we were okay. I never felt anything but safe in the water and highly recommend this excursion regardless of the level you may be. I honestly cannot praise Angel enough for going above and beyond for my partner ... Thanks so much

Promenade Stateroom

Cabin PR

Loved our stateroom. It was a Handicap Room as requested and it was very spacious and very accommodating to our needs.

Port Reviews

Galveston

While we were on our on we did enjoy Kemah and was extremely surprised to see it unaffected by Hurricane Harvey and definitely had amazing seafood while we were there and a little hole in the wall called Gilhooleys.... Fun and great food especially the oysters and the Seafood Cake.... yum

Falmouth

Shopping Shopping Shopping my only complaint was they needed more shade. People would spend more if they were more comfortable. How about Water Misters, or Umbrellas over the Chairs would go along way.
