I usually am very critical of the cruises I take. But, I have a hard time finding fault in my recent Oasis of the Seas cruise. Even with Hurricane Irma keeping us at sea for 3 more days, the staff and RCCL went above and beyond to keep us informed and occupied. I had considered flying out of Mexico back to Florida, because of my Mom and our business in Florida to be there for the hurricane, but was talked out of it by friends and family. Even without the extra 3 days at sea, I was impressed. The ship is beautiful! I don't feel like you could be bored! So much to look at and do. Our cabin was about the same, only bathrooms seemed bigger. Less shelf and drawer space, but it was nothing major! I just got off the Adventure of the Seas (with my Mom) ,6 days before I left on this cruise with my husband, and it is usually the Radiance or Freedom class I prefer, just due to size and passengers. So in the last 30 days, I have sailed for 17!! Anyway, back to the review. I felt like the food was better than on the AoS, both main dinning and specialty dinning . We did 4 specialty dinning nights, service and food were excellent. The main dinning, our location was HORRIBLE, in a dark, hot, nook, but our waiter was OUTSTANDING!!! Andrew in the American Icon. We never wanted for anything. In over 16 cruises with RCCL, he was the best we have ever had. I will say that even if you have my time dinning...you need to book a reservation. many times, they had a lot of people waiting to be seated. We usually ate breakfast in the dinning room, very good. We normally just snacked for lunch. I will say that the small cafe on deck 15 by the sports area was a hidden gem. Not as much selection, but much fewer people and they had omelets for breakfast with out a wait.

The comedy was AWESOME!! We had reservations for one show (highly recommend reservations!!) Went back for another show by standing in the stand by line! Just as funny! I was not overly impressed with Cat's. I found it hard to understand what they were saying/singing. We left at intermission. The headliner was good and I liked the adult comedy that they added for the extra nights. (remember they had to come up with 3 more days of entertainment on the fly!).

The casino was a bit smokey. Overall, the dealers very nice, you at least need to smile as you take my money!! The last night, we had the best Blackjack dealer ever, I wish I could remember her name! She was a hoot! The schooner bar, great entertainment and a great place to meet other people. It can get a little crowded for the games.

Just a relaxing day on the beach! But, plenty to do if you are an active person!
