Chose this cruise as our first Celebrity cruise to travel with friends for the both of us. The cruise was comparable to any of the main line cruises that we have done.. Princess, NCL etc. I find that the cruise lines are more alike than different. The ship wasn't overly welcoming on Embarkation. Traveling with friends we got on the ship and was told to go eat lunch. No sit down lunch in the Trellis on day one. We were sent to the Buffet (madhouse) so headed out to the grill at the pool deck. To say I was underwhelmed was an understatement. No music no poolside ambiance, NO staff on the pool deck. This was very different from prior cruises. The grill was open and the burgers were average. I went back to the grill to get a drink, they told me drinks were in the buffet? Seriously? We were avoiding the buffet due to the crowds. They couldn't have water on the pool deck. The drink station was closed.

The announcement that the rooms were now open at a little after 1:00, On to our room. Room was great, clean well made up room. Our room Steward Singh was a delight, our room was spotless each and every day. We had 2 of the "sweet sixteen" rooms with the larger balcony, very nice.

The dining or back to the dining, there is an old saying that there are two types of people in a hospital, those that are really sick and those that complain about the food. That being said here is my take on the dining/food on the Infinity. Monday morning went to the Trellis dining room....the first and last time there for breakfast. The french toast was literally toast...thin 1/2 thick toast, 3 half slices and omelets were burnt, gave us something to laugh about. I wish we would have taken a photo. We thought the buffet was better for breakfast. Overall I thought the food was typical cruise fare food, no better than NCL or Princess no worse.

Cabin Review

Concierge Class 2

Cabin C2

Clean room and bathroom, clean linens and a nice balcony. The door to the balcony very hard to open and could use an true handle on the outside of the door to open it from the outside other than the finger pulls. The bed was comfortable. Plenty of hangers and storage space. There was rust on the coffee table but otherwise in good condition.

Port Reviews

Icy Strait

We took the Shuttle into town, got a drink, walked around. Took a little hike through the forest and then back to the ship. A small town of 760 people.

Juneau

Our 4th time here, just walked around.

Ketchikan

We did the Lumberjack show. Very entertaining. Walked around and did some Geo Caching. 4th time here, didn't need to do an excursion.
