My adult son and I took my sister for her 70th Birthday on this wonderful cruise. I could not have asked for better service. We were in suit 11506 on the Gem. The Butler and other service providers were fantastic. It was a first cruise for my son and I and my sister had not been on a cruise in a very long time. The food was great the specialty restaurant Cagney's steak house was our favorite. All the food was wonderful including the wonderful buffets. We did one shore excursion in Nova Scotia a lobster lunch at Peggy's Cove, the lighthouse and ocean views were wonderful and the lunch was really nice too! We also did an excursion into Saint John's New Brunswick our guide was very informative and friendly and throughout the day we saw a lot and learned a lot. The bay of Fundy is an amazing thing to see! My son did the Bar Harbor excursion that included driving up Cadillac Mountain which he said was amazing.

The onboard activities were very good lots of options even if you have young kids. I saw two of the big shows at the Stardust Theater and was very impressed. They had a casino, game show events lots of different music styles at the different lounges which was great for nights when you just wanted to relax or if you felt like dancing.

Our Suit was an up sale but having experienced it I will always book one now the extras were amazing and out Two bedroom family suit with balcony was perfect for us. Three areas for sleeping with separate climate controls, two bathrooms a small one with separate shower in the second bedroom, and a very nice master bathroom which I wanted to bring home with me! Our balcony and two chairs a lounge and a small table, we received a free bottle of Champagne and snacks including fruit every day. The steward kept the room spotless and was very understanding of our needs., the Conceire and butler helped us with dinner reservations and kept us informed of where we should be during things like special meals for suit guests and immigration and costumes . Overall for us it was a trip of a lifetime and we would highly recommend this cruise line and ship. We loved free style cruising and the destination we selected. 5 out 5 100% from us!
