We chose this cruise mostly because of the itinery, we had been with Celebrity previously and wanted to compare the two. Celebrity was a quieter cruise and didn't have the promenade where everyone gathered so didn't have the same atmosphere as RC.
We arrived at the port around the time we had been given for boarding and this is the only place we had to queue, once on board we went for a quick drink before going to our cabin. After dropping the bags off it was time to explore and we were surprised by what we found, so much to take in and it took a while to get our bearings but we enjoyed the experience of ending up somewhere different to where we had planned.
The service from the staff couldn't be faulted, we never saw one grumpy face and I am sure there were some tired people on there as they work such long hours.
We chose this cabin because of it's position on the ship. We like to be forward and close to the lifts. We were quite prepared for the extra footfall and the possibility of noise but in all honesty it was not any different to others. We only heard people talking once and that was when one couple was going further forward and one going back a bit so they stopped just outside our door.
The cabin had a good view with no obstructions and our room attendant was very good at knowing when we had gone out, even seeming to know if we only going for a quick breakfast as she never intruded but everything was done on our return.
