Chose cruise for the Itinerary. Lisbon wonderful city spent two days prior to embarkation for private tours. Embarkation was smooth. Within two days our cabin started to squeak so loudly we could not sleep for over four days.

It had to do with the construction of the molding around the ceiling. You could see that they had this problem previously because it looked "Gerry-rigged. After bringing it to attention of crew hierarchy we were told the ship was under warranty and could not be fixed right now. Finally after us and our a joining cabins complained(they alsohad the same problem) the squeaking/loud noise was reduced by driving wooden shims the ceiling molding.

Entertainment - nothing special. NO onboard lectures by special speakers regarding the history of our destinations especially Normandy the war/cemetery.On previous Silverseas cruises we had great lectures. Read more
