I was just on the World Voyage with Holland. Things were different on the Alaskan cruise, subtle little things that were lacking. But Hollands staff is wonderful. Some of the passengers were annoyed that Captain Mercer made the decision to by pass Kodiak due to the storm, but it was a GREAT decision.

Some things are to be considered UPGRADES during a GRAND VOYAGE.

Cruises are the least expensive way to take a vacation. Have been cruising since I was a child in the 1950's so well understand that in today's market, with the number of Shipping Companies, and the number of ships, the prices are low. Although people who are new to cruising do not think so but it is true. Where else can one go visit different cities, receive entertainment, food, lodging and have fun at such a low price.

Cabin Review

Large Ocean-View Stateroom

Cabin C

The Amsterdam is in need of some updating.. The cabin needed paint and a little TLC.

Some of the main rooms also appear a little run down but know the ship is going into dry dock after the 2018 World cruise.

Port Reviews

Homer

Took Hop on Hop off bus tour. As port of Homer is small, there is little to see and do in Homer. However, what little there maybe is very interesting.

Sitka

Sitka is a love little City, with wonderful and friendly people willing to help you in every way to enjoy their City.
