5th cruise first time with P&O (Previous with Celebrity, RCL and Princess).

Mixed bag this cruise some things were really good, The entertainment squarely aimed at the brits (comedians, tribute acts) was of a really good quality we went to the shows more on this cruise then ever before. Embarkation was a breeze and the ports were good, The Cabin bed was really comfortable and the Art class brilliant,

However the food in the MDR was really samey basically meat (or fish), potatoes and two veg. With repeats on the mains and deserts. Once you took out the always available, todays roast and from the grill it was probably only about 3 mains per night that were new. Virtually no pasta, curry etc (when they did do lasagne it came with 3 veg). The veg was pretty much always mange toute, green beans and carrots (Not sure is they got a job lot) but it is going to be a while till i eat them again (14 nights....). I think there was roast beef at least 5 times. The buffet was also pretty poor as an alternatve (uninspired).

Cabin Review

Outside Twin with Shower

Cabin LC

The cabin itself was okay, small TV (locked so no HDMI). But the view was okay. Not been at the front before and the sea movement when the weather was bad was not great. BUT there were two real issues.

1. In rough seas the noise was awful, groaning and banging from the hull, so we had to get ear plugs.

2. The toilet simply stank (even after a clean) it was the most nasty smell ever (Think really bad public toilets)

When it was calm you could hear the rehersals in the theatre about 4pm and the shows but when they finished it was quite.

Port Reviews

Seville

not much to do but pretty enough, cathederal is worth a look.

Barcelona

Did rick steves guided walk (Brilliant) and took the metro to the cathedral (pre booking is needed).

Cannes

Took the train to antbes - not a bad day out. Cannes itself is pretty dull :)

Gibraltar

Not much to do in Gibraltar after being there before (cruise ships like the cheap fuel). But visited the museum and the moorish baths aren't bad.
