We had heard that river cruises were an excellent way to enjoy the cities of Europe and heard Viking was one of the best lines. They did not disappoint as they are so accommodating. The rooms are not big but there are many common areas to enjoy. The only negative is we asked for a salt free diet for my husband and they weren't aware of it on board and although they would have accommodated him when we mentioned it, it became too much of a big deal. They did note our anniversary with a cake and bottle of champagne in our cabin which was very special. They have meals in the dining room and you can also eat in the Aquavit which is buffet and partially outside. Our dinner one night was outside as we cruised through two separate locks. Truly amazing! The ports were also amazing and the guides very knowledgeable. Every day we had a tour which was included and free afternoons or other tours which you could sign up for. Every night in the lounge they had live piano music and a few nights additional entertainment which was very lovely. Our tour director, Rea, was amazing in that she was funny, informative and friendly. She told us everything the night before a port and even offered advise for our stay in Amsterdam down to where to eat and where not to eat. A Viking Cruise is a cruise where you are treated very special from the moment they pick you up at the airport until they let you off the ship and take you to your hotel or the airport. We are already thinking about our next river cruise.

Cabin Review

Veranda Stateroom

Cabin B

A little tight but we had a chair and bench by the mirror to work on the counter and of course the veranda had two chairs and a table. The bathroom although small had a nice size shower and the best was heated floors and a fog free mirror.
