Choosing Disney Cruise as my first cruise was easy. I chose Disney Dream because I can easily picture my son (10yrs) having a good time at their Aqua Deck, Oceaneer Club/Lab, firework show on pirate night and their Castaway Cay. Seeing him having so much fun was worth paying the premium price for the cruise. It would be an understatement to say we had good time. We had a blast! The whole experience has been amazing and exceeded my expectation. The only compliant is we had to share table to strangers. My table was mostly quiet. My son and I are not talkative people and the other mom and son were not very talkative either. It just felt a little bit awkward. I honestly thought I would feel a little bit bored if my son is off to the Oceaneer Club. I was wrong. For one, we didn't really have time for Oceaneer Club since we spent so much time at the Aqua Deck. I had to make the time for him to go to the Oceaneer Club at least once to experience the activities there. His favorite was the millennium falcon. While he's at the club, I took a nap on a lounge chair on deck 4. It was just so quiet and feeling the breeze was just so relaxing. The view was not bad either.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom with Verandah (undersized or obstructed verandah)

Cabin 07A

My cabin category is 7A, the least expensive for balcony stateroom (deluxe oceanview stateroom with balcony with some obstruction). This room was rated as one of the least obstructed view (under 20%). The obstruction was slight, on top right-hand corner. We were able to enjoy full view of the ocean and land. There were a lot of vibration on my first night. To be honest, I couldn't sleep well because of it but my son was not bothered. Either I was too tired or there was no vibration the 2nd night. On the 3rd night, it was slight but I was able to get good night sleep. Most likely I would not choose this room again if I were to cruise on Disney Dream.

Port Reviews

Castaway Cay

Since we were their during the Labor day weekend, the water was amazingly warm. We had fun in and out of water. I had hope we would go on a bike ride, but it was too hot for me to want to do it. Nevertheless, we loved the water activities. We live in Northern California and water here are mostly too cold for us to go in so this was a treat for us.
