Chose this cruise as an alternative to a European cruise on NCL (Denmark, Germany, Estonia, Russia, Finland, and Sweden) leaving on the same date. Was concerned about Terrorist bombing in St. Petersburg and No-Go Zones in Sweden. NCL reservationists were very helpful in making changes. MY wife broke her foot three weeks before the cruise and NCL was very helpful in providing a seat for the tub in our stateroom and a raised toilet seat. They also put us in touch with a service that provided an electric scooter for her on-board use (for a modest fee). Boarding was not an issue as we were provide with priority access. Our cabin attendant was great as was the dining staff. Food and Beverage was also excellent...we ate in three specialty restaurants (Steak, Italian and French) and the food was delicious. The main dining rooms were also very good and the prime rib served in these restaurants was outstanding. leaving the ship in NYC was a bit chaotic... since we needed a wheelchair for my wife and had to return the electric scooter, we were told to meet in a certain restaurant. We arrived at the appointed time (8:30AM), were #33 for departure and had to wait for hour and hour to leave the ship. Feel the ship did not have enough wheel chairs or attendants to debark the special-needs passengers in an efficient fashion. MY biggest complaint was with the furniture and fixtures in the public spaces...they had an old and worn appearance. The "atrium lobby" was two-stories tall...and the casino was small, smoke and had old slot machines and games.
Typical of a cruise ship...nothing outstanding...except our cabin attendant. Knew us by name and was always there without being in the way
