We chose this cruise because of the long weekend. We did not want to go for a long extended time as the ship is small and limited on entertainment. Carnival did not cancel the cruise due to IRMA but sent us out to Cozumel for an extra 4 hours at port. If we had known this earlier we could have booked an excursion that was longer than 4 hours as we wanted to spend some time shopping. The ship is old and needs updating and fixing. The food was not that good and the water had a seaweed taste. (Now the dining room water tasted ok). Not sure what or where the Lido restaurant was getting their water from. Dining room food was ok, nothing great. The Lido restaurant was the worst food I have tasted. Now on a positive note: The Cruise Director Kabir was outstanding. He was one of the best CD's I have seen on the ships. He was out there entertaining us at least two to three times a day.

I cannot say enough good things about Kabir. Carnival snagged a good one. Carnival did re-position us to Jamaica when we could not go back to Miami and they kept us informed of all the news and what was happening. The ship is smaller than all the others and you can feel the vibration of the engines and it does rock in rough waters. The cruise overall was enjoyable and we had wonderful weather. I hope to go to Key West on another trip after they rebuild - or even help them rebuild.

Junior Suite

Cabin JS

This was not what I was expecting for a JS. It is small and they say that the view is not obstructed - wrong - you have the crane to look at. The balcony is very small. This room is the same size as a balcony room on other ships. You can see your neighbor on the balcony and hear everything they say out there.
