Very nice furniture.  Needs more electrical outlets for 110 volts.  Shower is very small.

Otherwise not a bad balcony room compared to other cruise lines and larger / newer ships.

While we did get to see whales, captain was not very good at positioning boat for "ALL" to see.  Due to less than ideal weather - which included rain - going outside for picture taking was not a possibility for me - due to expensive cameras and lenses.  The boat "did" have side windows that could be and were opened so most of us whom wanted to stay somewhat dry could.  Yet, when it came to many of the whale sighting opportunities - the captain pointed the boat straight on towards the whales - thus virtually eliminating chances for pictures by those inside the cabin.

Pretty sure when I booked this excursion, it was for longer than the short 2 hours we were actually out looking for whales.  At $259 or so, this was a very expensive whale watching tour and those whom paid less or did multiple things like doing the zip line paid less than we did for just whale watching.  A shorter whale watching excursion was offered in the mid $100's range that I think is what w actually got.

Excursion cancelled upon arrival due ti weather we were told.  Due to such short stay in Juneau (6 hours), we ended up going to Mount Roberts instead.

A dog-sledding excursion "was" originally offered for several months, but then pulled last minute as operators stopped offering them starting around Sept 1st.  Since our cruise started on Sept 4th, we were unable to do dog-sledding at any venue that was offering it to prior to Sept 1 cruise passengers.  A fail to me on Norwegians part for letting this slip on their website till the last minute before the cruise started.

Great itinerary for Alaska, especially the Hubbard Glacier

Garden Buffet - food quality better than many cruise lines offer even if very small variety

Teppanyaki was fun and good food.Other cruisers that come after me on this ship and in Alaska have some extra knowledge to base their choices on whether to go with it or pick another one that may have better ratings.
