We chose this cruise to end our first trip to China. Couple late 60s. We had 17 days on land and sightseeing prior to boarding in Shanghai. Perfect relaxing finish. The terminal was 30 min from the Bund area central Shanghai. Taxi about 20aud. Train was avail with 5 min transfers from station to ship provided. We arrived at our designated time with limited ques. Very quick easy boarding. We are Crown and Anchor so it usually makes it quicker again. Hickup for some was people were given forms to fill out on arrival which unbeknown to them were not needed at direct check-in. Poor buggers were trying to fill them out in unsuitable areas. These forms should always be given at areas where they can sit in aircon not hindering new arrivals. Looked confusing. Otherwise the Balance of the trip was very well organised. Our balcony cabin was ready on arrival. Great size with bed at balcony side of room which I love. So nice to lay in bed and look at ocean. Ambient colour scheme spotless. Tea making facilities. Bring your own coffee. Fridge for my two bottles of allowed to bring on board wine. Bathroom had liquid soap no other condiments. Yey..Glass shower doors not shower curtains. Heaps of luggage space under bed and lots of convenient cupboards. A large very comfy sofa or spare bed. Ship was beautifully kept everything spotless and in good condition.

Staff were all exceptionall in every aspect. There was a noise in our area one night. We had guest services come to our door the next day apologise and offer a bottle of wine. The ice show was truly wonderful and as crown and anchor we were invited to a second great show. Musicians and vocalists were excellent but the shows were a bit too same for most. Saying that we tend to enjoy everything as life at home is lacking in that aspect. The food in the Windjammer was varied and excellent but we find it has too much of a lunchroom atmosphere for dinner so preferred the dinning room. At peak times of course the Windjammer was very full and finding a seat was not easy. In the dinning room I found service and atmosphere great. We request late seating preferring an early show. Never that hungry at 5.30 -6.

The serve size on meals are relatively small but for good reason. The amount of food people leave on their plates is seriously ridiculous. Be aware you can have as many as you like though. Order two mains 2 sweets they don't care. Ask for extra ice-cream or strawberries even if not on menu and they are very happy to accommodate. When I wanted a curry I just went to the Windjammer. Soft serve was on pool deck a good portion of the day along with hot dogs. The usual cakes wraps pizza and coffee downstairs in boardwalk cafe. Having sailed on the Voyager we found this ship of course very similar. We just love cruising and having beautiful weather to enjoy the balcony pool and open air theatre area with wine and cheese acquired from the Windjammer just heaven. This voyage was particularly enjoyable due to the massive varience of both crew and guest nationalities. We enjoyed our stops Japan Hong Kong and Vietnam which
