As a frequent (7x) NCL cruiser, I have always enjoyed freestyle cruising and the entertainment on NCL ships. You get none of this on the Breakaway. On all other ships when there were minor issues, staff was responsive - this was not my experience on the Breakaway. Lineups, overcrowding, misinformation, dirty, broken etc. I will not likely go on NCL again and would not recommend it based on this experience. Embarkation was 2.5 hours, cabin not clean/ready with a broken cupboard door at 2pm. Nothing gets fixed even with repeated attempts to the maintenance, front desk and 2x to the hotel director Vuk.

Entertainment was the worst ever, with the same really bad comedian on 4 nights. The only highlight was Second City but if you don't book the first day you have to wait in line for cancellations.

The one adult pool, no quiet spots is just beyond horrible. The food in buffet was repetitive and cool. They refused to open up more seating even when it was overcrowded (they are on there own schedule).

Cabin Review

Studio Stateroom

Cabin T1

Not ready, dirty, never really vacuumed - flooding if you use the shower. The entire studio lounge are has a horrible smell that never goes away (sewage?)

Port Reviews

King's Wharf

Lovely port - took the free ferry to ST George. The beach is 1KM away and great. The ferries and buses run on time, Horseshoe Bay a highlight and really liked the snorkel park
