Celebrity Cruise Lines has a new priority, a new focus, a new ship comin' to town in late 2018. It's the Celebrity "Edge", first sea lady representing a new class of ships. Lot's of hype, lot's of attention, lot's of money$$$$$. As a result, in my opinion, the rest of the fleet is suffering from lack of attention, reductions in crew/staff and absurd modifications to packages. Gotta save money here to spend money there. The following are a few examples.

Upon embarkation, while re-acquainting with the Silhouette, we could not find a hand sanitizer that contained fluid. The second day was the same. While waiting in line at guest relations we tried their hand sanitizer, no fluid. We mentioned it to a representative. Ironic that with all the emphasis on cleanliness and hygiene, this would happen.

Our stateroom (8200), was clean but dated. Our stateroom attendant was wonderful and very attentive. However, I am rather offended when Celebrity sells me a cabin for lot's of money and presents it to me not caring what it looks like. Specifically, the arm of the couch was worn down to the ugly, dark foam rubber. Not very appealing to rest an arm, much less a head.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Veranda 1C

Cabin 1C

Clean but dated. Arm of couch was worn down to the ugly, dark foam rubber. Don't charge me lot's of money for a cabin and present it to me in that condition.
