Last minute good deal. We purposely choose after Labour Day believing that children would be in school. Apparently not the case. And also, parents seem to travel with the young ones. There were hundreds of children on this cruise. We had chosen a mini-suite, wrong choice. All around us were families jammed into the rooms with cots and cribs, little ones out on the balconies at 6:30am banking on the tables and chairs like they were drums. Children above us running through the hallways, others repeated plushing the toilets. They were also brought to all of the dining room, including the specialty pay extra Cagney's steak house. Never in our wildest dreams did we imagine to have dinner at 8pm with under 5 year olds everywhere. Not sure if this is indicative of the ship, as there is a huge amount for children to do, beware if you don't want children on the same ship. Celebrity was in port the same time as us, they thought less than a dozen children on board.
The staff were wonderful. They quickly leaned what we liked and always remembered. The food covered the like of all four of us. Lots of beef would have been nice for more of a fish selection. We didn't like the band in the large dining room, so we always went to the smaller ones. We didn't do any entertainment, but there sure was a wide variety. We loved the adult only sunning area aft. Loved the fountains to sit and soak and cool down.
Cabin lovely. Full size couch. Large bathroom with a full bathtub, two taps in a large double sink. Absolutely no drawers anywhere, only shelves. Limited storage space. Closet inches away from one of the beds. Very tight squeeze. Balcony was the smallest I have ever seen. Two chairs and a small table and that was crowded.
