We were looking for a short getaway (4 days) with my 16 yr old son and his friend. We chose the Triumph because port was out of New Orleans which was only 2 hrs from home. Embarkation was a breeze. We were on the boat and in our suite by 12:30. We did have priority so it made things alot easier. We were in stateroom 7326. I will review that in my cabin review. But in short, I had no issues at all. Many people complain about the Triumph being dated and needing work. In my opinion, they really have too much time on their hands. The boat in my eyes was clean, presentable, and beautiful. I didn't smell the sewer odor that people speak of. I guess if I had to complain about anything, it would be that I would suggest more food options on the buffet on the Lido deck. Other than that, I enjoyed everything the ship had to offer.
I signed the kids up for Club O2 and they had a blast. Made some new friends and were able to pretty much stay out of our hair. Their was an incident with my son's friend. He slipped coming in from outside into the lobby on deck 11 and managed to hit his head on the wall in front of him causing a laceration to his head. He was immediately rushed to the medical office and tended to. He did have to have stitches. I will say that I am very impressed with the medical service. They also did not charge us for these services. We were taken care of and checked up on daily.
Our room steward was Arturo, he was excellent. Knew our names and never let us down. Anything we asked for, he provided. All the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful.
Our cabin was perfect. It was clean and comfortable. I enjoyed the jacuzzi mostly. The balcony was very spacious.
We didn't take an excursion. I did some research before leaving and saw that it would be raining. So we went shopping and got back on the boat,
