This trip was a long-time bucket list goal for us. The itinerary was outstanding and exactly what we were looking for throughout our trip.

However after having sailed on a comparable competing line two years before, we were very disappointed with our accommodations and the line's lack of responsiveness to remedying the situation. This noise situation in our room started the second day of our cruise and continued for the remainder of it and made the time in our room annoying and was very disruptive to our sleep. The crew's lack of attention to fixing the situation was disappointing and frankly unacceptable for a line of this pricing and projected imagery.

In addition, while the food generally was acceptable, it was boring in its continued repetition throughout the cruise. The only exception was Le Champagne which was excellent both for its food and its staffing, although the pricing add-on was very high for a cruise line of this fare pricing and overall projected imagery. There simply was not enough variety in any of the other restaurant venues commensurate with the pricing of this cruise.

While the room was the size, view and accommodation we expected, the condition of the room was terrible for our comfort and satisfaction. The primary reason for this was that beginning on Friday night/Saturday morning there was a loud and annoying clanging of some piping through our bath/shower area that was disturbing and was particularly bothersome at night when we were trying to sleep. We initially reported this Saturday morning and were told it had been 'fixed' Saturday afternoon while we were out. It seemed fine that evening but started again Sunday morning which we again reported. It did not get fixed during the remainder of the cruise and was extremely disappointing as an expression of SilverSea's interest in our well-being and customer service.
