Let’s preface the review with: we fully aware it was an older ship with less bells & whistles, also this was our first cruise so we went in trying to keep an open mind & not have unreasonably high expectations. We did lots of research beforehand online, we joined Facebook groups, web forums, watched a bunch of YouTube cruise videos in order to be as informed as possible. We chose Majesty because as it was our first cruise, it seemed that RCCL was family friendly, wanted a shorter time frame (4 days/Bahamas) & we wanted to avoid being overwhelmed by a massive layout. Before I bullet-point some of the issues we had with it, I’ll share what we liked about it: We liked our room and were so happy we splurged on a suite, the bed was super comfy & we all slept well. Having a balcony was such a joy as we got to see amazing sunsets & dolphins swimming along the ship. Our proximity to the kids club was great (10th floor) so our kiddo easily found her way, we gave her the freedom to sign herself out so I believe she enjoyed that independence. Cocoa Cay was beautiful; hubby & kiddo had a total blast snorkeling. The cabana was an added plus as it was extremely hot, with no wind so shade was essential. Our room attendant, Bibi Ramsaye was so consistently happy & friendly. A positive light during our murky moments.
Now here are some issues we took with our experience:
Crazy congestion in the Windjammer
Cabin size was perfect & the bed was comfy. It was well maintained other than I spotted what looked like bloody finger prints on a curtain. Also there were not facial tissues but there was a dispenser. Didn't know there was a hairdryer until the last night. It was in a desk drawer.
We did not do an excursion in Nassau. We walked around the shopping area briefly then returned to the ship.
